This job involves working independently and under general supervision from the Principal Investigator on NIH-sponsored research. The primary goals of the Post Doctoral Fellow will be to lead the network data analysis in relation to cutting-edge research in neurology and network science. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will supervise and assist with federally funded clinical studies which aim to investigate the relationships between patients' social networks and their clinical outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the writing of academic articles.

Conduct data analysis for clinical research studies as per study guidelines and protocols.

Maintain databases for the study, monitor data quality, maintain data analysis records, and create data reports.

Code and complete analyses related to the project in the R environment and other software platforms.

Contribute to the overall scientific literature, especially in interdisciplinary research with journals in neurology, neuroscience, social network sciences, network science, and population health.

Attend required meetings with PI and collaborators.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Doctoral Degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, population health, social sciences, physics, or related fields.

Sound independent judgment, knowledge and experience in data analysis and competence in research methodologies.

Skills / Abilities / Competencies Required

Ability to work independently.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical or research problems and issues and to interpret the acceptability of data results.

Knowledge of clinical research protocols.

High degree of data analysis.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.

Careful attention to detail.

Ability to demonstrate professionalism and respect for subjects' rights and individual needs.

Knowledge of data management programs.

Experience in scientific writing.
