Job Summary The ideal candidate will work in environmental remediation, engineering and related services, and will have experience with engineering design report writing and project management associated with petroleum‑impacted site restoration projects. Additional experience with remediation of solvent and PFAS compounds is a plus. The candidate will be responsible for completing projects on time and within budget and scope; and will manage projects up to $500 K aggregate value.

Salary Salary range: $93,000 to $135,000 DOE.
Work Environment This is a HYBRID role that will report to our Jacksonville, FL office or our Knoxville, TN office and requires 10% travel for projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage multiple low‑complexity soil and groundwater remediation projects.
Prepare remediation system designs and supervise implementation, operation, and maintenance.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies.
Manage field and construction teams and external subcontractors.
Manage project finances.
Manage schedules to ensure deliverables and budgets are achieved.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering.
Florida Environmental or Civil Professional Engineer’s License, or ability to obtain a Florida Professional Engineer’s License within 6 months.
5–10 years of experience in environmental remediation and consulting.
Experience in soil and groundwater remediation system design and implementation at petroleum sites.
Basic project management knowledge and a willingness to take on progressively responsible roles through mentoring and training.
Experience working with the FDEP.
Travel to project sites as needed, estimated at 30 % annually.
Preferred Qualifications
40‑Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certificate and subsequent annual refresher courses.
First Aid and CPR training.
USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management certificate.
Grounded and collaborative personality.
Clear communication with the ability to accept critical feedback.
Good presentation skills.
Willingness and flexibility to work on projects outside the remediation category, such as SPCC plan development and civil infrastructure projects.
Additional Qualifying Factors As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screening after an accepted offer and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
Physical Requirements The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met. Reasonable accommodations may be made. The position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co‑workers and clients. Essential functions may require bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods, moving, working outside the office for extended periods with exposure to the elements, walking over rough surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 lbs. PPE such as hard hats, steel‑toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection must be used at all times.
Working Conditions Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. Office work requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies in all seasons with exposure to heat, cold, and potentially wildlife. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise may occur.
