What does this role look like? The position is for a cybersecurity engineer working for Lockheed Martin Mission Solutions. Mission Solutions line of business has been delivering extraordinary solutions to some of our nation’s most critical imperatives. Leveraging the full spectrum of capabilities across the Lockheed Martin Corporation, Space Systems Company’s Death Valley team provides its range of customers a legacy of superior performance, relevance, and innovation with an unrelenting focus on Operational Excellence and Mission Success. Applicant should have experience with RHEL, Windows, and cybersecurity principles. As a cybersecurity engineer you will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of technical and engineering activities in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Advanced understanding of Cyber Security implementations and Risk Management Framework (RMF) (SP 800‑53)

Hands on experience with Kubernetes, VMware, Linux and Windows operating systems, networking

Experience RMF with Body of Evidence management

Technical curiosity to learn new skills and are ready to help across the team

Experience with vulnerability scanning and/or patching

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required

Desired Skills

Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance (with investigation within 5 years)

Possess an approved DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.)

Strong understanding of System Security Engineering (SSE) principals and process.

Advanced Understanding of Risk Management Frame Work (RMF) NIST SP 800‑53

Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems (i.e., 2008 R2/2012/2016/2019/2022)

Knowledge of Linux Administration (RH7.x, RH8.x)

Familiarity with cloud based services

Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, API’s, Jenkins, Github and Gitlab

Jira and Confluence

Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.

Onsite Full‑time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
