Senior Replay Operations Admin Analyst – National Basketball Association (NBA)

Position Summary The Replay Center Operations Admin Analyst plays an important and unique role in protecting the integrity of NBA basketball. Under the guidance of the Replay Center Operations Leader, this analyst manages all data and analytics related to the Replay Center’s performance, supports Referee Operations in influencing data‑driven decision making across key stakeholder departments at the league and NBA teams, and serves as the primary point of contact and operations lead for the Referee Live Communications project. The role utilises a breadth of data resources—including replay trigger decisions, Coach’s Challenge results, automated officiating determinations, and related reviewable matters—to answer strategic basketball questions.

Major Responsibilities

Track and record NBA in‑game essential Replay Center data, including every executed replay trigger, Coach’s Challenge, and associated reviewable matters.

Create nightly Replay Center data reports and send them to relevant NBA League Office stakeholders.

Manage regular and ad‑hoc reporting of replay and coach’s challenge statistical performance, and produce analytic reports for senior leadership and related departments.

Configure the Evertz and Hawkeye software data entry pages to ensure accurate and timely live, in‑game data entry.

Identify and communicate key data insights to Replay Center senior leadership to optimize Replay Center efficiencies.

Manage the Replay Center Data dashboard, continuously refining and building new features to support evolving replay needs.

Backfill for the Replay Center Operations Lead by adjudicating instant replay triggers, Coach’s Challenges, and reviewable matters during live play.

Partner with communication and operations managers to develop and update protocols for live communications technology.

Serve as primary contact during NBA game hours for operational issues related to the Live Communications Project.

Track, report, and recommend on critical elements of the Live Communications Project, including usage metrics and trends.

Maintain Replay Center training materials, apparel, and office supplies.

Submit documentation of NBA Officials Work Rules violations observed during live games to Ref Ops senior management.

Organize nightly hospitality and execute food orders for Replay Center staff and referees.

Assist in budget development and cost projections, ensuring essential purchases are accurately submitted to Finance.

Lead Referee Operations initiatives and assist the International Basketball Operations Department during Basketball Without Borders events.

Compile data, execute replay, conduct rule experiments, and facilitate new technology testing during NBA Global Games, Summer Leagues, and G League Showcase.

Complete relevant administrative duties for Replay Operations.

Required Skills / Knowledge / Commitment

Strong data compilation and manipulation skills.

Basic NBA officiating rules knowledge, including proficiency with Rule 13 and Rule 14 of the NBA Rulebook.

Solid NBA basketball knowledge.

Fundamental knowledge of Evertz, Hawkeye, and Dreamcatcher software and hardware.

Ability to maintain composure and execute within a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment.

Strong communication, multitasking, and listening skills; can perform spontaneous in‑game duties well.

Deep proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Self‑starter with exceptional problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate with a non‑technical audience; deal effectively with senior management.

Must exercise good judgement and maintain confidentiality with sensitive events and projects.

Must work nights, weekends, and holidays, with limited pre‑approved time off during the NBA season.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Required Professional Experience / Education

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional or collegiate experience in at least one of the following:

Playing, coaching, and/or officiating basketball

Basketball scouting/video analysis

Replay Center operations

Analytics

Bachelor’s Degree

Salary Range $80,000 - $90,000
