Salary Range:

Assistant Professor AY 2025-26 classification salary is $74,652 to $158,688 per year ($6,221 to $13,224 per month). Anticipated hiring range is $131,000 to $141,000 per year ($10,916 to $11,750 per month). Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. degree in a relevant area of business from an AACSB-accredited business school, completed by August 1, 2026; or Ph.D. in an appropriate field of Engineering or Science.

Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels in areas such as artificial intelligence, business analytics, and cybersecurity (or related IS topics).

Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Demonstrated potential for research, scholarship, and creative activities leading to publication and curriculum development.

Demonstrated potential for service contributions to the department, college, university, and broader community.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong research pipeline with published work in high‑quality IS journals.

Teaching experience in artificial intelligence, business analytics, and cybersecurity.

Willingness to develop relationships across the university and the surrounding community, evidenced by volunteer work or service.

Experience mentoring or supporting students with minoritized identities using inclusive and culturally relevant teaching strategies.

Commitment to working effectively with a diverse student population similar to CSULB’s demographics.

Duties

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the department (mode of instruction may include in‑person, hybrid, and online).

Engage in research, scholarly and creative activities leading to presentations and publications.

Participate in service to the school, college, university, and profession/community.

Journal or conference paper(s) published or accepted for publication, if available.

Names and contact information for three references (to be contacted for confidential letters of recommendation if you reach the finalist stage).
