The Hilton Motif Seattle, located downtown near Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, and the Bainbridge Island Ferry, is seeking an energetic and results‑driven Catering Sales and Events Manager. The role involves actively prospecting new business, responding to inquiries, and managing the full lifecycle of catering events—from initial detailing to on‑site servicing. Responsibilities include preparing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), drafting contracts, overseeing billing, and ensuring a seamless client experience.
Salary The salary range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00 per hour plus bonus incentives, based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
Responsibilities
Develop market segments and solicit new customer relationships.
Negotiate business through proposals and contracts to close sales.
Design menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience.
Maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts.
Foster internal customer relationships to ensure consistent, high‑level service throughout all event phases.
Direct event logistics to affected departments and team members responsible for execution.
Serve as the primary contact and ensure client satisfaction.
Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals.
Communicate in a timely manner to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person.
Create and maintain client relationships to set and meet expectations and deliver on them.
Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, and processes.
Resolve conflicts and negotiate to address complaints and disputes.
Sell and influence both internal and external clients.
Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues to determine the best solution.
Ensure high‑quality service by providing direction, guidance, feedback, and coaching when needed.
Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process, when necessary.
Perform other duties as necessary based on business needs.
Qualifications
At least one year of catering sales experience required; hotel operations experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Experience with Delphi, Amadeus, or comparable sales and catering management systems.
