We are seeking a

Senior Electrical Control Engineer

to architect, design, build, test, and certify proprietary material processing equipment. In this role, you will diagnose complex issues, optimize processes, and identify evolving engineering requirements. Lead the development of power distribution and control systems for next‑generation manufacturing lines, integrating advanced automation and meeting industrial electrical and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Produce documentation for power distribution, controls, and layouts that comply with NFPA, SEMI, and relevant automation standards.

Design electrical and electro‑mechanical systems using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Build, test, and debug prototypes of control panels and new system configurations.

Architect and implement power distribution and control systems for next‑gen manufacturing lines.

Design and document schematics, layouts, and control panels following NFPA, SEMI, and industrial safety standards.

Integrate proprietary and commercial hardware; optimize hardware vs software tradeoffs.

Develop and certify safety systems for automated and laser‑based platforms.

Deliver full release documentation: costed BOMs, schematics, layout drawings, service content, and certification files.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

At least 6 years of industrial process control experience, semiconductor capital equipment experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge of manufacturing equipment best practices, particularly motion control, sensors, power distribution, and electrical/safety compliance.

Experience taking products from concept through certification and safety approval.

Experience working with mechanical, optical, and/or laser systems preferred.

Good understanding of hardware/software decisions drive component selection.

Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards for electro‑mechanical and opto‑mechanical systems and laser system experience highly desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment.
