Senior Principal Data Center Delivery Project Manager – Abilene, TX
Job Description
This role involves managing the physical site in Abilene, TX. You should be experienced in managing a multi-disciplined Cloud Data Center space with strong people skills, the ability to influence groups outside your direct responsibility, and collaborating with colocation partners.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership, direction, and operational experience
Strong knowledge of computer hardware (Server, Storage, and Networking devices)
Drive and manage escalations to rapid resolution and closure
Work with distributed teams across the country
Grow the team by recruiting and hiring top talent
Deliver expansion projects on time with high quality
Collaborate and work effectively with best‑in‑class architects, engineers, product management, etc.
Manage and support 15–20 Data Center technicians
Oversee 24/7 mission‑critical data center day‑to‑day support operations
Installation, field change orders, and hardware break/fix activity
Ensure timely delivery of services/tasks to meet milestones and customer KPIs
Interact across functional areas and teams (Engineering, Build, Site Selection, Business Operations, etc.)
React to and manage incidents, drive resolution and after‑action analysis
Capacity expansion at all scales (rack additions, block additions, white space growth, new sites, etc.)
Drive local recruitment for future hires
Create an environment of continuous improvement
Qualifications • Experience managing Data Center operations and site management. • Strong knowledge of hardware, storage, and networking. • Proven leadership and ability to influence cross‑functional teams. • Experience with escalations, project delivery, and incident management. • Ability to recruit, hire, and develop technical staff.
