Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Program Management and Administration is looking for a Procurement Specialist 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
Responsibilities This position serves as the Northern Region Property Officer and Procurement Specialist for DOT&PF. Responsibilities include procurement and property control activities such as acquisition, renting and leasing of supplies, equipment, services, or real property; control, storage, accounting and disposal of controlled property. The incumbent ensures supplies, equipment and services are available on a timely, economical basis and that all agency procurement activities conform to the state procurement code and other applicable regulations, policies and procedures.

Working Environment This position is located at 2301 Peger Road in Fairbanks. Employees may work in various locations, including remote and urban centers, addressing a wide range of transportation needs across Alaska’s rugged terrain and extreme seasonal changes.

Experience or education in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, project management or a related field that covers property control, purchasing, contract administration, solicitation writing, and scope of work development.
Some positions may require an Alaska driver’s license.
