Your Impact The primary purpose of this role is to establish excellence around market and competitive insights, shape insights‑driven strategic planning cycles and support early‑stage development and execution of new business development. This position is seated in the Enterprise Strategy team with responsibility to partner closely with Corporate Development (M&A) and Business Strategy counterparts, as well as executive leadership elsewhere in the business.

What You Will Do

Drive and draw from external research and internal data to deliver key insights related to trends in the hoe improvement and/or retail market, as well as competitive threats.

Collaborate with senior leadership across functions—Marketing, Merchandising, Store Operations, Pro and Home Service, Supply Chain, Finance and Real Estate—to understand business needs and deliver concise insights for ways in which Lowe's can more effectively respond to what is happening in specific markets or countries in order to ultimately grow and protect market share.

Translate specific business challenges and opportunities into new investment or productivity‑based concepts for the Enterprise Strategy team and/or business partners, proactively seeking opportunities to drive profitable growth.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with and influence SVP, VP and director‑level stakeholders and their support functions to accelerate strategic business initiatives.

Lead annual strategic planning exercise with Business and Technology SVPs and Executive Leadership Team as primary audience and project sponsors; partner closely with FP&A to shape forecast and growth expectations.

Deliver strong points of view on best practices and governance to establish a clear strategic planning process and strategic funding.

Support post‑planning governance around strategic initiative KPR measurement and agile decision making.

Independently perform advanced, complex research and analysis, synthesizing insights into meaningful recommendations that drive inorganic or organic growth, or performance improvement strategy projects forward.

Present impactful, highly visible executive‑level presentations summarizing recommendations.

Support identification and evaluation of potential acquisition or partnership opportunities that will drive strategic priorities forward; proactively network externally to gain market insights and identify opportunities.

Maintain comprehensive understanding of the enterprise and functional areas; continually monitor and evaluate the competitive landscape to identify innovative opportunities to create new value.

Mentor and support junior team members within Enterprise Strategy, providing support on assigned projects.

Keep updated on tools and methodologies used in both quantitative and qualitative market research.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field or equivalent years of experience.

7 years in Strategy, Business Insights and Planning or a similar function.

7 years of strategic client services or executive leadership management.

Preferred Skills/Education

Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration or related field.
