Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned Senior Operations Manager to oversee and optimize operations for a critical spare parts program at a major client manufacturing site. This role goes beyond day-to-day management-it requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to influence at executive levels. The ideal candidate will combine deep supply chain knowledge with strong leadership skills, ensuring service performance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across complex workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight for all site operations, including warehousing, logistics, inventory control, and production support for technical components.
Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, including managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
Drive operational strategy to align with client objectives, ensuring service level agreements and KPIs are consistently met or exceeded.
Oversee inventory governance, implementing advanced controls and analytics to maintain accuracy and minimize obsolescence.
Act as the senior liaison with client leadership, presenting performance metrics, resolving escalations, and shaping long-term operational plans.
Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and corporate leadership to ensure seamless material flow and cost optimization.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to streamline processes and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all site activities.
Manage site-level financial performance, including budgeting, labor planning, and capital expenditure.
Identify and implement technology-driven solutions to enhance operational visibility and efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of progressive experience in operations leadership, ideally within logistics or technical product environments.
Proven success in managing large teams and complex workflows at a senior level.
Expertise in inventory management, ERP/WMS systems, and operational analytics.
Strong client engagement and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence strategic decisions.
Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement continuous improvement programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced reporting tools; experience with ERP platforms such as SAP is highly desirable.
Working Conditions
On-site leadership role with significant client interaction and operational oversight.
Occasional travel to other sites or regional hubs.
Flexibility to support critical operations outside standard business hours when required.
