We are supporting a highly innovative input‑device engineering team known for creating products that form the physical connection between users and their devices. This group is a passionate, collaborative, and diverse team of engineers who design with every customer in mind—across languages, interaction styles, and unique ways people engage with hardware.
This team builds technology that brings “magic” to everyday products by combining thoughtful mechanical design, ergonomic excellence, and cross‑functional creativity. They value curiosity, craftsmanship, and problem‑solving grounded in solid engineering fundamentals.
Role Overview As a
Product Design Engineer III , you’ll apply your mechanical engineering expertise to help develop next‑generation input devices and related hardware. You’ll work across the full product lifecycle—from concept development to detailed design, prototyping, validation, and production support.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with design, hardware, software, manufacturing, and product integrity teams to bring innovative concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners—including industrial design, hardware, software, technology, and product integrity—to define product vision and requirements.
Explore new product form factors and architectures.
Develop and define kinematic behaviors to optimize ergonomics and usability.
Integrate mechanisms, sensors, and electromechanical components into high‑volume consumer products.
Partner with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize designs for functionality, cosmetics, cost, and manufacturability.
Ensure product quality through stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and failure analysis.
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and design excellence.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a
mechanical engineering
or mechanical design role.
Strong engineering fundamentals, including:
Statics ,
Strength of materials ,
Kinematics and mechanism design , and
Manufacturing processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly express design concepts and contribute meaningfully to team brainstorming.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and complete individual work reliably.
Experience in relevant industries that bring diverse perspectives and problem‑solving approaches is highly valued.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
