Starting Salary: $83,052.00 Annually

Essential Duties
Inspecting facilities and completed maintenance work, initiating and coordinating repairs, monitoring construction projects for compliance, and ensuring tenants meet safety and contractual requirements.
Making sound decisions in fast-changing situations, adapting priorities as needed, and thriving under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Must preside over meetings with airlines, stakeholders, and contractors, balancing firmness with empathy and de-escalating stressful situations while maintaining professionalism.
Coordinating emergency responses such as weather events, flight delays, and system outages, and assisting other operational areas such as passenger queue management, badge room operations, and landside bussing during ATS outages.
Must be visible in the terminal, ready to step in wherever needed, engage directly with frontline staff, and act as a liaison with agencies like TSA, CBP, and other federal partners.
Willingness to learn across disciplines and a genuine commitment to improving the passenger experience.
Responds to and manages airfield operations emergencies 24/7, 365 days a year.
Additional Duties May Be Required For This Position.
Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Property Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management or in a directly related field, plus five years of multipurpose facilities management experience, including two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
NOTES
A valid State of Illinois driver's license is required.
Candidate(s) selected for hire must pass a Ground Motor Vehicle Operating Regulation Basic Driving test administered by the Chicago Department of Aviation within 90 days of hire.
Candidate(s) selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment (STA).
Must be flexible to early and/or late meetings.
This is a 24/7 on‑call position based on operational needs.
Must be available to work regular work schedule and be available for on‑call duty assignments that may include evenings, overnight, weekend and/or holiday hours.
Selection Requirements This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing previous experience in Airport, Airline and Ground Handler operations.
