Lead Aircraft Mechanic – Navy C-12 Program – Camp Pendleton, CA

Position at V2X Inc: Responsible for maintaining Navy C‑12 aircraft and leading maintenance operations. Responsibilities

Inspect and certify aircraft per OEM and FAA requirements. Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform necessary corrective actions. Document maintenance on appropriate forms. Remove and replace defective components. Comply with Service Bulletins, Instructions, and Airworthiness Directives. Maintain ground support equipment. Execute pre‑flight and post‑flight turnaround inspections and servicing. Maintain aircraft logbooks and historical data. Comply with safety, foreign object damage, and tool control program requirements. Wash, wax, clean, and maintain exterior and interior of aircraft. Act as point of contact with the Quality Assurance Representative. Advise management of issues that may delay scheduled delivery. Ensure materials issued for assigned tasks are correct. Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees. Supervise and inspect maintenance performed by FAA‑certified and non‑certified personnel. Service oxygen, nitrogen, tires, oil, and hydraulic systems. Perform corrosion‑control checks. Assist in monitoring maintenance of aircraft fleet. Provide technical support to customers concerning the fleet. Assign mechanics to specific aircraft daily. Communicate with customers regarding aircraft status. Guide subordinate employees and peers, collaborating with other management team members. Implement performance‑appraisal system for supervised employees. Approve or disapprove subordinate employees’ performance and recommend corrective action. Implement in‑service training programs and evaluate them for effectiveness. Recommend and maintain uniform procedures and standards for the department. Evaluate efficiency of operations and recommend changes. Assist with recruitment, selection, discipline, and training of personnel. Greets visitors and exhibits courteous behavior toward customers, business partners, and coworkers. Assist coworkers and other departments with job tasks when necessary. Follow all safety procedures and practices established by the Company and regulatory bodies. Supervisory responsibilities are included in this role. Minimum Qualifications

High‑school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Seven (7) years of aircraft maintenance experience, with at least two years in a lead role making airworthiness decisions. Active A & P License. Proficient with aviation maintenance hand tools for routine airframe and powerplant work. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

A & P License. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Proficient spoken and written English communication. Write routine reports and correspondence. Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Perform basic math (whole numbers, fractions, decimals, unit conversions). Understand and follow written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions. Plan and organize work. Use software packages such as Excel and Word. Analyze problems and make independent decisions. Demonstrate leadership, delegation, motivation, and prioritization. Maintain strong interpersonal relationships. Recognize and identify problems and their elements. Perform tasks under distracting or monotonous conditions without significant loss of efficiency. Perceive and feel attributes of objects and materials (size, shape, temperature, texture). Operate hand and power tools. Travel worldwide on short notice; obtain security clearance, passport, and visa if required. Interpret aircraft drawings, specifications, and schematics. Understand how assemblies function together. Knowledge Required

Databases sufficient to perform job duties. Aircraft sheet metal repair and component repair. Instrument, electronic, and electrical test equipment. Military or commercial aviation maintenance terminology. U.S. government regulations for federal contractors and FAA maintenance programs. Physical Demands

Hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; sit frequently; stand and walk occasionally; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Visual requirements: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus. Work Environment
