Job Description The Data Center Solutions (DCS) Business Unit designs enterprise-class storage products utilizing the latest RAID, Security, PCIe, NVMe, SAS, SATA, SDRAM, NAND, and CXL technologies. As a member of the Applications Engineering team, you will provide best-in-class technical support to customers for DCS hardware and software products. This involves developing and delivering training, customer collaterals, debug tools, and resolving challenges in collaboration with Product Development, Validation, Marketing, and Sales teams.

Responsibilities

Support, manage, and resolve technical issues related to DCS hardware and firmware/software products.

Debug firmware, software, and protocol-level issues for enterprise storage devices.

Work with customers and cross-functional teams throughout the product life cycle, from gathering requirements to post-production support.

Develop and maintain customer collaterals such as firmware user manuals, quick-start guides, release notes, errata, and application notes.

Provide product training to customers and internal teams.

Demonstrate new products to customers and at industry events.

Conduct feasibility studies, investigations, proof of concept, and prototypes for next-generation products.

Travel within North America and internationally as required to provide on-site support or attend meetings.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CE, CSE, or EE with 7.5-9 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 5-6 years of relevant experience (firmware development of storage or communication products or AI/ML tools).

Strong firmware/embedded systems development and debugging skills.

Experience designing, developing, and testing firmware in C.

Experience developing debug tools using scripting languages such as Java, TCL/TK, PERL, Python, etc.

Knowledge of SoC architecture.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Customer-facing experience.
