PROJECT ARCHITECT/JOB CAPTAIN Carvell Architects seeks a practiced project architect/job captain with excellent design skills and 4-8 years of professional experience. The position will require a strong working knowledge of Revit, and all applicants should have documented at least one completed project using the program. This is a great opportunity to be involved throughout the life cycle of a project and grow your career into a leadership position in the firm.

The best candidate will have a demonstrated enthusiasm for environmental stewardship, embracing energy efficient practices including optimizing the building’s orientation to control solar loads while maximizing daylight penetration and natural ventilation.

Position Description

Exceptional design and graphic presentation skills

Working knowledge of building codes, standards & construction

Familiar with and working knowledge of zoning & entitlement site development plan documentation

Completion of SD, DD & Construction Document sets for construction

Incorporate integrated & sustainable design solutions into projects

Contract administration experience a plus

Comfort working independently, demonstrates professional working as a team, participation in client presentations, zoom calls and OAC meetings

Technical skills must include Revit, Revit 360, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), AutoCAD, and preferably Rhino, SketchUp and Enscape. Energy Modeling programs a plus

SKILLS + EDUCATION

4 – 8 years+ professional experience

B-Arch professional degree or Master’s degree in Architecture

Working toward being a registered architect and/or holding NCARB certification
