What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Build new services using Golang to meet critical product and business needs for the Card program
Design scalable systems to solve novel problems utilizing modern cloud technology and best practices
Develop a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems and the teams managing them
Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to create a tangible quarterly roadmap
Write high-quality, well-tested code to fulfill customer requirements
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering
Experience with Card products and involvement in building or working on such products at scale
Proven ability to design, build, scale, and maintain production services with knowledge of service-oriented architecture
Strong commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs
Passion for building an open financial system that fosters global connection
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in a rapidly growing company (from startup to mid-size)
Familiarity with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks
Knowledge of Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.)
Experience with Golang, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
Background in building financial, high-reliability, or security systems
