Application Test Engineer
Technical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with strong test system experience.
5+ years of experience in application or device-level testing (not entry-level).
Proficiency in LabVIEW software development for device functionality verification.
Ability to perform hardware validation including fixtures, power supplies, and ET&V.
Strong independence and initiative to drive testing efforts without heavy supervision.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with RF/Bluetooth testing for device connectivity validation.
Background in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Computer Science with emphasis on EE and LabVIEW.
Hands‑on experience with medical devices such as pacemakers or ablation catheters.
Ability to balance lab‑based validation with computer‑based discovery work.
Day to Day
The Application Test Engineer will focus on sub‑assembly and final‑level testing of medical devices such as pulse generators, and ablation catheters, ensuring functionality and reliability before production release. Responsibilities include developing LabVIEW software to verify device performance, conducting RF/Bluetooth testing as needed, collaborating with mechanical engineers on hardware validation, and building test systems to support energy-intensive applications like pulse field ablation. The role balances early‑stage computer‑based discovery with hands‑on lab work during pre‑production and validation phases. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience, ideally in Electrical Engineering, though Biomedical, Mechanical, or Computer Science backgrounds with strong LabVIEW expertise may be considered. Independence, initiative, and the ability to drive testing efforts are essential.
Compensation
We can pay between $45 -$60/hr.
