We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead this technical charge—someone who combines deep machine learning expertise with strong leadership and business acumen, particularly in the automotive supplier space.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a newly forming team, mentor top talent, and build scalable AI solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, supply chain resilience, and customer experience. Your leadership will be instrumental in making AI a strategic advantage for TI Automotive.

Key Responsibilities

Translate complex business challenges into high-impact predictive and generative AI use cases.

Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, IT, and business functions to align AI efforts with organizational priorities.

Lead a team of machine learning engineers to design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI solutions across various business domains.

Mentor and grow a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Provide technical direction in model architecture selection, training strategy, performance evaluation, and deployment.

Oversee development and optimization of ML pipelines, MLOps workflows, and cloud-native AI platforms (preferably Azure).

Stay ahead of emerging AI trends—especially in GenAI and Agentic AI—and strategically integrate them where valuable.

Ensure responsible AI practices by promoting model explainability, fairness, and governance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

10+ years of experience in AI/ML, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership or managerial role.

Proven experience building and deploying AI solutions in the automotive industry, with strong domain knowledge in manufacturing, logistics, or quality systems.

Deep hands‑on expertise in predictive modeling, deep learning (CNNs, Transformers), and GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases).

Experience leading teams building production‑grade ML systems using MLOps practices and cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Candidates must reside in the Detroit Metropolitan area and be able to work onsite 5 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in deploying predictive solutions in automotive industry or related domains (Manufacturing, Supplychain, Finance, etc.).

Experience with agent‑based AI systems and applied use of LLMs in enterprise environments.

Knowledge of MLOps, model lifecycle management, and responsible AI practices.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a hands‑on technical leader who thrives on mentoring and empowering engineering talent.

You understand the unique challenges and opportunities in the automotive space and are eager to apply AI to solve them.

You are comfortable with ambiguity and excited to build from the ground up.

You lead with vision, communicate with clarity, and act with purpose.

You are passionate about turning AI potential into real‑world business value.
