The AVP, Inforce Reinsurance Actuary will report to the SVP, Inforce Reinsurance Actuary and will support Inforce Management initiatives involving a wide range of Life, A&H, and Annuity products across all block reinsurance, flow reinsurance, and retrocession arrangements. This includes enterprise‑wide experience analysis, Cost of Funds, KPI development, and senior leadership reporting.
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid basis).
What You Will Do
Manage the development, analysis and reporting of Cost of Funds across the Fortitude Re product portfolio.
Provide analysis and report on emerging experience across the product portfolio.
Develop A/E liability experience dashboards covering enterprise‑wide product experience.
Prepare reporting for the Board and other key stakeholders including committees and senior management.
Play a key role in managing counterparty relationships, governance and initiatives including Client Cedant Audits.
Improve processes through data integration, analytics and visualizations.
Execute on various ad‑hoc projects and key initiatives.
Collaborate closely across actuarial, finance, investment and data teams.
What You Will Have
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent designation, with 7+ years of progressively responsible actuarial experience (or Career ASA with 6+ years post‑ASA).
Deep product‑level insurance knowledge; familiarity with reinsurance a plus.
Proficient programming skills, with expertise in Python and Power BI (other languages a plus).
Highly motivated, results‑oriented with strong multi‑project management skills.
Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
Demonstrated success working in cross‑functional collaborative teams and with senior management.
Base Salary Range: $165,000 USD – $205,000 USD
In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance, as well as a generous benefits package.
