Job Description
An SAP EAM Lead's role includes leading the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Enterprise Asset Management solutions, managing projects, and mentoring junior team members. This role requires translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules like MM and FI/CO, and providing expert guidance on best practices for asset lifecycle management and MRS. Key responsibilities also involve managing stakeholder expectations, overseeing the technical roadmap, and supporting the solution through post-go-live phases.
Technical / Functional Skills
Configuration knowledge in SAP Plant maintenance and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
Understanding of SAP Work Manager and Multi Resource scheduling
Good understanding in the following areas: PM Master data, Calibration Process, Work order Management, Inventory management
Troubleshooting experience and ability to provide/propose wholistic solutions
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of SAP EAM solutions, ensuring they align with business goals.
Oversee project planning, budgeting, and execution for EAM initiatives, including managing deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Supervise, mentor, and train junior team members, acting as a subject matter expert and resolving complex issues.
Develop and oversee the technical roadmap and solution architecture for EAM projects.
Lead solution design workshops, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and serve as the main point of contact for project communications.
Act as an escalation point for complex issues, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring vendor accountability for managed services.
Generic Managerial Skills
Deep expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) is essential, including master data, work orders, notifications, and maintenance plans. Experience with SAP EAM in general is also crucial.
Drive integration with other SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM), Financial Accounting/Controlling (FI/CO), and Supply Chain Management (SCM). Experience integrating with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is often required for certain roles.
Oversee master data governance and manage data migration and cutover activities.
Experience with related modules like SAP for Utilities (IS-U) is a plus for specific industries. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
Salary Range $110,000-$150,000 a year
