Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $149,000.00/yr

Scope of Work The role will support the Cloud Engineering, Transition, and Modernization Support Services (CETM) to Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) in support of the Enterprise Engineering and Integration Services (E2IS) Integrated Product Team (IPT). The scope of work includes application analysis, security requirements analysis, documentation, virtualization, modernization, technical engineering, migration scheduling, business process reengineering, data preparation, migration planning, interface transition planning, training on Cloud Service Offerings (CSO) environment, service transition planning, cutover planning, back out planning, and go‑live support. This support also requires associated transition and/or modernization support services to migrate legacy systems from their current hosting environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based deployments using Jenkins and/or Concourse

Knowledge of container management and orchestration using tools such as Helm

Familiarity with implementation and operation of container security scanning and testing software to include secrets detection, SAST, and/or DAST (e.g. SonarQube, Fortify, OWASP ZAP, etc.)

Understanding of requirements set forth in the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC SRG) is advantageous

Education Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)

Required Certifications

IAT-III DOD 8570/8140 compliance

Certified Information Systems Security Professional

C|EH (Practical); OR,

Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)

2+ progressive Microsoft Windows and/or Linux OS certification(s)

3+ progressive AWS or Azure certifications

Certified Scrum Developer (or higher)

Microsoft Windows Server Systems, including system administrative tasks such as patch management, disk management, ESXi VMware virtualization, OS installation, configuration, hardening, and user management

Scripting including Python, Linux Shell/Bash, and Powershell

Tenable.SC, Nessus, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

TCP/IP, Networking, and Routing Fundamentals (CCNA equivalent)

DOD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) Compliance

Splunk Enterprise Administration, including multiple Indexers, dedicated Search Head(s), and a dedicated Deployment Server

Information Assurance/Security

Public Key Infrastructure cryptographic algorithms and openssl

ServiceNow ITSM module integration

Atlassian (Confluence and JIRA)
