NEIDL PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER I, Boston University Medical Campus Public Safety
Join the Boston University Medical Campus Department of Public Safety as a Public Safety Officer for the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory (NEIDL).
This full‑time position provides security services across the medical campus, ensuring a safe environment for staff, students, employees and valuable assets. Position Summary
Provide and secure a safe environment at NEIDL and the broader medical campus. Enforce university policies, regulations, and procedures. Respond to alarms, provide emergency medical assistance, investigate suspicious circumstances and address criminal matters. Work under direction of the Director of Public Safety. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice preferred or related work experience. Must pass background check, drug screening, employment verification, CORI/SORI, references, medical and psychological examinations. Must possess an appropriate Massachusetts License to Carry Firearms and complete all required training and probationary period. Successful completion of initial on‑the‑job training, ongoing in‑service training and prescribed probation period. Salary and Working Conditions
Salary Grade: 00; Expected Hiring Range Minimum and Maximum: $28.73 per hour.
Position Type: Full‑Time/Regular.
