Assistant Vice President, Workday Financials Lead We are a specialized technology staffing agency supporting professional and financial services companies. Our client, an investment firm, is looking for a Workday Financials Lead to join their team.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of offshore Workday developers and analysts supporting production and BAU activities.

Oversee resolution of user issues, incidents, and service requests with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and minimizing business disruption.

Manage intake, prioritization, and delivery of BAU work, balancing immediate user needs with long-term system improvements.

Perform and oversee Workday Financials configuration tasks, including updates to business processes, security roles, reports, and other tenant‑level changes.

Partner with Finance, Technology, and senior business leaders across global time zones to understand priorities, communicate status updates, and align BAU work with organizational goals.

Establish best practices for production support, including documentation, root‑cause analysis, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Coordinate analysis, testing, and adoption of new Workday features, ensuring BAU activities incorporate release updates smoothly.

Introduce cloud‑native practices, automation, and AI‑driven approaches to streamline BAU processes, reduce repetitive tasks, and improve service quality.

Identify recurring issues and proactively develop solutions to prevent reoccurrence, improving system performance and user experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5‑7 years of hands‑on experience performing Workday Financials configuration tasks.

Strong understanding of Workday Financials modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement).

Technical proficiency in Workday integrations and reporting tools (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, calculated fields).

Proven experience managing production support and BAU activities in Workday or similar ERP systems.

Cloud‑native orientation: experience working with cloud‑based technologies and integration platforms.

Proven track record driving innovation, including introducing new ideas, tools, or processes that enhance efficiency.

Familiarity with AI and automation technologies and their application to system support or process optimization.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Azure integration technologies (Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factory, Service Bus).

Experience with incident management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

Exposure to Agile delivery practices and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).

Experience applying AI‑enhanced monitoring, analytics, or automation in enterprise support environments.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear, solution‑focused updates for business stakeholders.
