Job Summary and Responsibilities
The CT Technologist Float position is responsible for knowing their professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code and for satisfactorily completing the Dignity Health Medical Foundation orientation period, which includes demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance. CT Technologist Floats maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment and perform patient care services that support the physician/provider’s practice under the supervision of radiologists, other licensed staff, and management. Duties include assisting in preparing patients for CT examinations, relaying instructions from the radiologist to a patient or authorized person, collecting patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient’s medical record for the radiologist’s review, and performing diagnostic medical imaging. The position may require working in other modalities with appropriate licensure and requires the incumbent to travel to various DHAI sites and be flexible with scheduling.
Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate or GED
Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program
Medical Radiographer: CA (MRAD:CA)
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR)
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment, and radiation safety.
Ability to travel to multiple locations throughout the Greater Sacramento Area.
Preferred Qualifications
Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.
One (1) year experience as a CT tech
Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment

Pay Range $41.14 - $61.20 /hour
