Overview The Manager of Laboratory Services directs and oversees the 24‑hour operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring high quality, efficient, and cost‑effective operations. The role collaborates with facility administrative and clinical leadership in planning and implementing policies and procedures that support the mission and growth of the institution.
Responsibilities
Direct and oversee laboratory specimen collection, processing, on‑site, point of care, and send‑out testing services.
Plan, organize, and implement strategies and initiatives to enhance and support laboratory operations.
Provide direction to department personnel to achieve operational and technical objectives, including workflow design, service quality, financial performance, regulatory compliance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement.
Collaborate with facility administrative and clinical leadership in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures, programs, and initiatives that support the mission, growth and success of the institution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical sciences, as defined by CLIA.
Minimum of one year of leadership experience as a supervisor, manager or director at a moderate or high complexity laboratory.
MT or CLS or MLS certification required, ASCP or equivalent.
Strong administrative skill and leadership qualities. Financial management, Human Resources, Equipment Management, Quality Management, Physician Relations, Workflow Design are key skills to be successful.
Excellent communication skills are needed to influence staff and to support internal and external customers.
Extensive knowledge in state and federal regulations is needed to ensure ongoing compliance.
Location and Compensation Denver, CO Pay Range: $41.50 - $64.46 /hour
