Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Expert to join our automotive engineering team. In this role, you will lead the development of sealing systems – including weatherstrips, door seals, glass run channels, body seals, side door DLO moldings, appliques, and foam blocks – from concept through vehicle launch. You will ensure designs meet performance, durability, cost, and manufacturing requirements while driving innovation and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate deep expertise in closures sealing systems, including weatherstrips, DLO moldings, applique geometry, and interface requirements.

Own the design, development, and release of sealing components (e.g., primary and secondary door seals, glass run channels, liftgate seals, beltline seals).

Lead cross‑functional integration between sealing systems and adjacent components such as doors, body‑in‑white, glazing, trim, and closures.

Validate 2D drawings and analyze 3D CAD models using NX and/or Vis Mockup; perform section cuts and measurements to ensure compliance with EKF best practices.

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency, and material performance align with project milestones and functional objectives.

Partner with design studio engineering on surface feasibility and develop typical sections to meet sealing requirements.

Manage component release in PLM systems (Teamcenter, WebCN, FastCar2), including BoM creation and updates.

Prepare technical documentation for source packages and lead technical reviews with suppliers and internal teams.

Define and track engineering validation plans (DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA) and coordinate physical testing.

Provide on‑site launch support to resolve assembly issues, fit‑and‑finish concerns, and BSR‑related challenges.

Ensure compliance with internal standards, performance targets, and regulatory requirements.

Communicate project status, risks, and deliverables across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality teams.
