Mechanical Engineer – Mid, Senior & Principal Levels Become a part of ENERCON as a Mechanical Design or Mechanical Project Engineer. We seek talented Mechanical Engineers at all experience levels, from early‑career professionals to principal engineers.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams on major projects such as cooling water systems for existing or new power plants.

Lead simple design projects, e.g., valve replacements, and produce engineering reports on corrosion studies or equipment evaluations.

Deliver high‑quality engineering documents: accurate, error‑free drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses that meet industry codes, standards, and regulations.

Adhere to client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements while following established procedures, processes, and project directives.

Stay current with industry codes, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques, particularly for the nuclear sector.

Produce engineering deliverables that meet rigorous quality assurance standards and exceed client expectations.

Build lasting client relationships through clear communication and professional interactions.

Collaborate across disciplines to ensure comprehensive, integrated designs that consider all stakeholder needs.

Travel to plant sites for walkdowns, client engagement, and on‑site evaluation of plant structures, systems, and components.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical system design.

Experience in engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industry (chemical or pulp & paper), or government (DOE) projects is highly preferred.

Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and in teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

For positions on federal contracts, U.S. citizenship is required.

Senior Engineers typically have 7 years of post‑graduate experience; Principal Engineers typically have 10 years.

Early‑career candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for early‑talent opportunities.

Pay Range USD $90,000.00 – USD $177,450.00 per year.

Salary Range Information

Where a salary range is listed, it reflects the typical range for this full‑time position based on role, level, and location. Individual compensation within the range will be determined by work location, relevant experience, job‑related skills, and education or training.

Eligibility to Work

Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Ability to pass pre‑employment screenings, random drug and alcohol tests, ENERCON and client background checks, and an annual motor vehicle record check per company and client policies.
