About the Role We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of cloud solutions in alignment with our organization’s cloud strategy. This role involves designing new software solutions, maintaining existing software, and ensuring adherence to high standards of accessibility, security, and performance.
What We’re Looking For
Experience with writing infrastructure as code using Terraform
Knowledge of web protocols, operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture
Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms and services
Familiarity with Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) or similar frameworks
Hands‑on experience with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins
Agile development practices and test‑driven development
Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Salt
Experience with identity management frameworks and tools
Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration
Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
Cloud provider certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Architect)
Experience with architecting software solutions
Day To Day
Collaborate across technology teams to create solutions that align with our cloud strategy
Engage in product design activities and implement new software solutions as part of our cloud enablement strategy
Maintain and enhance existing software, ensuring code meets strict standards for accessibility, security, and performance
Write and conduct unit and integration tests
Communicate effectively within a software development team, including developers, quality assurance, and project management members
Actively participate in requirements gathering, architecture reviews, and design meetings
Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code and work with public cloud infrastructure
Apply deep knowledge of web protocols, operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture
Work with AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms and services, and apply frameworks like Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
Implement cloud security measures and work with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins
Use configuration management and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, and Salt
Compensation Hourly Rate: $70‑$73 per hour. This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
