Our client, a financial services institution, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their corporate finance team. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and supports monthly financial reporting, general ledger management, and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes
Support preparation of internal and external financial statements
Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
Assist with regulatory and statutory filings
Liaise with external auditors and support annual audit process
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CPA eligibility preferred not required
3+ years of relevant accounting experience
Big 4 public accounting or financial reporting experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite)
Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level
