Practice Manager - Acumatica & Sage Intacct Recruitment - North America Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Plant Controller to support financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting accuracy across the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and enjoys working closely with both finance and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Support the VP of Finance with financial policies, procedures, and controls
Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist with month‑end/year‑end close
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to leadership
Coordinate and manage audits with external auditors and internal teams
Oversee AP/AR processes ensuring timely and accurate posting
Audit and monitor inventory control processes for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Prepare detailed inventory reports and reconcile physical counts
Ensure proper inventory valuation (FIFO, LIFO, etc.) in line with GAAP
Leverage the ERP system to improve financial and operational efficiency
Maintain accounting system data integrity
Support financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA/CMA preferred
3–5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency with ERP systems (Acumatica, SAP, QuickBooks, Dynamics, etc.)
Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail
