Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr

They are seeking to hire an Assistant Controller to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting across several legal entities. This person will lead a small team of accountants, ensure GAAP compliance, and deliver accurate, timely reports for management and the board. This role blends technical expertise with leadership, offering the chance to grow professionally while enjoying
predictable hours, strong work‑life balance, and a hybrid schedule of only 3 days in office .
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a small team of accountants, managing workload and professional development.
Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidations across multiple entities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, board reports, and ad hoc analyses.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio‑level investment reporting.
Partner with auditors, lenders, and management on financial requests and compliance.
Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
7+ years of accounting experience in public or industry.
Investment/financial services and/or real estate industry experience required.
Strong GAAP knowledge, analytical skills, and leadership ability.
