MRI Technologist III, Full-Time – Mercy
Overview:
Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, producing diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation. Provides essential patient care during procedures and applies MR safety principles. Eligible to work within two registries or as a Super User for selected programs.
Responsibilities:
Conduct MRI examinations according to established protocols.
Provide patient support and education throughout the scan.
Apply and maintain MR safety standards.
Assist in the operation and basic maintenance of MRI equipment.
Engage in continuous quality improvement and training initiatives.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience or graduate of a Bachelor degree program.
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist program with required clinical hours.
Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI) – working in the area.
Other: IV insertion capability; technical skill in medical scanning; understanding of cross‑sectional anatomy and 3‑D knowledge.
