Multi‑Practice Veterinarian, Medical Director
Position: Full‑time, Multi‑Site Medical Director at Thrive Pet Healthcare, based in Memphis, TN. This role leads patient and client care at our partner hospitals: The Pet Hospitals Poplar at Massey and The Pet Hospitals Lakeland.
About You As a key leader, you will drive positive change and growth, develop strategies, implement improvements, and guide the hospital toward excellence in patient and client care. You will partner with practice managers and leadership to shape our vision, foster a culture of high standards, and support staff development.
Experience & Skills Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.
State Veterinary Board license in good standing for the state of hire before start date.
Active or eligible DEA license.
About the Hospital Both hospitals are general‑medicine practices located in Memphis, TN, focusing on wellness exams, vaccinations, microchip implantation, puppy/kitten care, senior care, in‑house diagnostics and laboratory services, spay/neuter, and other comprehensive care. Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 am–6:00 pm; Saturday – Sunday 8:00 am–2:00 pm. The clinics serve East Memphis and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
Lead veterinary practice, ensuring high‑quality patient care and excellent client service.
Collaborate with practice managers to develop and execute operational and clinical strategies.
Mentor and support veterinary staff to achieve medical excellence and continuous improvement.
Utilize Thrive’s Medical Leadership Program and other mentorship resources to grow professionally.
Enable efficient use of hospital resources, including diagnostic labs and laboratory services.
