Job Details 1-10 year Personal Injury Attorney Needed!

Our firm is a well-established plaintiff’s personal injury law firm specializing in maritime and admiralty injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, catastrophic injuries, and related areas. We represent injured individuals—including seamen, deckhands, offshore workers, cruise ship passengers, recreational boaters, and victims of catastrophic on-land accidents—throughout the Western U.S., with a strong track record of significant recoveries and trial experience.

Key Responsibilities

Handle a full docket of personal injury and maritime injury matters from intake through trial, including investigations, discovery, depositions, motions, expert work, and settlement negotiations.

Manage maritime and admiralty claims (e.g. under the Jones Act, maritime negligence, vessel and offshore worker claims).

Represent clients in wrongful death, catastrophic injury, premises liability, boating/harbor accidents, and insurance bad faith cases.

Prepare pleadings, briefs, motions, settlement packages, mediation materials, and trial documents.

Develop factual and legal strategies; gather and analyze evidence (accident reports, medical records, witness statements, etc.).

Work closely with experts (medical, accident reconstruction, engineering) and coordinate expert testimony.

Liaise with clients and their families, keeping them informed; maintain high standards of client service and empathy.

Collaborate with internal team members (paralegals, investigators, senior attorneys) to ensure case efficiency, quality, and timely resolution.

Participate in depositions, hearings, jury trials (as needed).

Assist in business development client outreach, networking, marketing efforts, preparing content (blog posts, case studies) to enhance the firm’s visibility in maritime injury law.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Admission to the California Bar (or ability to be admitted).

1-10 years of litigation experience in personal injury, maritime / admiralty / wrongful death cases (for lower years, stronger mentorship; for higher years, more independence).

Proven experience with written and oral advocacy drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, depositions and trial prep.

Experience engaging with and managing experts.

Strong legal research, writing, analytical and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Excellent interpersonal skills with clients, opposing counsel, experts, internal team.

Willingness and ability to travel for depositions, site inspections, trial (within region or as needed).

Empathy and commitment to representing injured clients—strong client care orientation.
