Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Overview We are seeking a Project Engineer with 2–5 years of experience leading capital expenditure (CapEx) projects within manufacturing or industrial environments. This role plays a critical part in delivering front-end project development, driving execution of capital projects, and supporting long-term facility growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead early-phase project development, including conceptual design, layout creation, cost estimation, equipment research, scheduling, and contingency planning.
Manage CapEx projects from initial scope through full implementation, including budget development, timeline creation, user requirement validation, and cost refinement during preliminary engineering.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and AutoCAD layouts to support installation activities across Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations.
Research, evaluate, and select vendors through competitive bidding; support procurement processes by creating purchase requisitions, managing contracts, and maintaining vendor communication.
Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to develop accurate capital estimates for new business opportunities.
Monitor contractor and vendor performance to ensure adherence to schedule, safety expectations, and contractual requirements.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), equipment validation, and vendor site audits.
Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and startup, ensuring a smooth transition to Maintenance and Production once systems reach steady state.
Provide clear project updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
Work with Process and Reliability Engineering teams to identify improvements that enhance throughput, reduce scrap and downtime, optimize labor, and improve product quality.
Support CapEx sponsors through the approval process, including business case development, ROI analysis, and post-project evaluation.
Maintain facility AutoCAD layouts, equipment capacity data, and demand-monitoring documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2–5 years of experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent 2D CAD design software.
