Your Role
Oversee, organize, and maintain a complete and accurate medical records system for all residents
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all health information, following HIPAA and facility guidelines
Review and process medical record requests, referring any questionable releases for appropriate review
Ensure timely filing and maintenance of all medical documentation, reports, and correspondence
Monitor record accuracy and completeness to support survey readiness and compliance
Prepare reports and assist in maintaining required statistical and management data
Support quality assurance and improvement efforts by participating in chart audits and reviews
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of resident care
Provide training and guidance to staff on medical record procedures and standards
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and assisting with resident appointment scheduling as needed
Who We’re Looking For
Experience in medical records or health information management, preferably in long‑term care or healthcare settings
Knowledge of HIPAA, state, and federal regulations related to health information management
Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
RHIT or related certification preferred
A dependable, accountable, and team‑oriented professional committed to excellence in recordkeeping and resident care
