Mobile MRI Technologist

– Join the Cleveland Clinic team where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient‑first healthcare. As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages while maintaining patient safety, and work on the mobile MRI machine between Twinsburg and Sports Health. This position offers a great starting point for expanding your skillsets and experience, and you will have access to the latest imaging technology and the best equipment in the area.

A caregiver in this position works days, 7:30 am—4:00 pm. Caregiver will travel between Twinsburg and Sports Health – 3 days at Twinsburg (Monday–Thursday) and Friday at Sports Health.

Responsibilities

Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of MRI examination.

Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.

Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.

Ensure patients’ comfort and safety during and after the exam.

Report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and call for service.

Maintain equipment uptime at the highest level for patient accessibility.

Instruct and mentor new hires and radiology students.

Attend in‑service programs and professional affiliation sessions.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT.

Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T.(R), R.T.(S), R.T.(T)) in good standing.

Or credentialed by R.T.(N) in good standing, or a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to provide excellent care to patients and families.

Ability to function well with minimal or no direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

One year experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities.

Physical Requirements

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $32.00 Maximum hourly: $47.50

The pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Compensation will be determined after considering work history, experience, skill set, and education. The range does not include applicable shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (healthcare, dental, vision, retirement savings contributions).
