Job Description The Department of Economics at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full‑time, nine‑month, tenure‑accruing position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Macroeconomics, beginning August 16, 2026. The Department welcomes applicants from all subfields of macroeconomics and advanced Assistant Professors.
Successful candidates will contribute to the Department of Economics' undergraduate and graduate programs, conduct high‑quality research published in leading general‑interest and top field journals, and provide service to the Department, College, and University, and shared faculty governance.
The Department currently offers an undergraduate major, undergraduate minor, residential and online M.A. programs, and a Ph.D. program. Recent curricular emphasis includes econometric methods and data analysis. Collaboration with the separate Food and Resource Economics Department is encouraged.
Compensation includes a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, a full benefits package, and a full tenure probationary period.
