About the Role Our esteemed Client is currently seeking a
Senior Data Center Construction Project Manager
to lead and oversee the construction of large‑scale mission‑critical, hyper‑scale data center projects from conception through final delivery. This role requires a seasoned construction professional with deep expertise in managing complex, high‑value data center builds while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee comprehensive management of large‑scale data center construction projects ranging from $50M to $95M+
Manage all phases from initial conception through design development, construction, and final commissioning
Direct day‑to‑day operations ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
Lead and coordinate project teams including superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project and Primavera P6
Stakeholder Management
Serve as primary point of contact for owners, developers, architects, engineers, and city officials
Build and maintain strong relationships with confidential AI/tech clients
Facilitate design development meetings and constructability reviews
Navigate complex approval processes and regulatory requirements
Manage expectations and communicate project status to all stakeholders
Prepare and manage project budgets from $7M to $95M+
Conduct project estimation and cost analysis
Analyze bids, negotiate subcontracts, and manage procurement
Process and approve change orders through established change management protocols
Monitor project financial performance and implement cost‑control measures
Utilize Procore, JD Edwards, or similar systems for financial tracking
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all mission‑critical data center standards and specifications
Implement and enforce OSHA safety protocols and company safety programs
Coordinate commissioning (Cx) activities and quality control processes
Manage HCAi (OSHPD) requirements for healthcare‑adjacent projects (if applicable)
Maintain LEED certification requirements and sustainable building practices
Technical Coordination
Coordinate MEP systems critical to data center operations (power, cooling, redundancy)
Utilize BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu, and AutoCAD for coordination and clash detection
Manage technology integration including raised floors, cable management, and infrastructure
Oversee testing, commissioning, and startup of critical systems
Work with PYPE and other planning tools for prefabrication coordination
Required Qualifications Experience
10+ years
of construction project management experience
3+ years
managing mission‑critical/data center projects (required)
Proven track record managing projects valued at $50M+
Experience with active/occupied facility work and phased construction
History of managing multiple concurrent projects across different locations
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
PMP (Project Management Professional)
certification preferred
LEED AP certification preferred
OSHA 30‑Hour certification required
Core Competencies
Deep understanding of mission‑critical infrastructure requirements
Strong contract negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications
Strong financial acumen and budget management

Experience with Job Order Contracts (JOC) and alternative delivery methods
Healthcare construction experience (HCAi/OSHPD projects)

Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier Standards
Commissioning experience or CxA certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to work on active construction sites
Regular site visits requiring walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and navigating unfinished spaces
Work in various weather conditions
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Occasional travel to project sites (up to 25%)
