Persistent Systems
Persistent Systems is seeking a Digital Hardware Engineer with experience in ASIC or FPGA development for an exciting opportunity in the design of wireless modems for mobile ad hoc networks. The successful candidate will be part of an experienced team with a focus on a novel FPGA platform, with much scope for research and development.
Position Responsibilities
Create FPGA or ASIC designs from C model algorithm to RTL/HDL through simulation, synthesis, and on-target verification
Programming in VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog and related simulator/synthesis CAD tools to create custom IP blocks
Creation of RTL verification systems and unit tests
Integrate high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, XGbE, and AXI into FPGA fabric
Producing analysis of timing reports
Creating solutions via floor planning to close timing when needed
Job Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in either Electrical or Computer Engineering 5 years of experience with digital design in Verilog or VHDL on standard ASIC or FPGA tool chains Proficient in PCB schematic and CAD tools Excellent verbal and written communication Must have a United States Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience with Xilinx Ultrascale and MicroSemi Polarfire FPGA tool suites Experience with scripting environment such as Python, Tcl or shell in a Linux environment Experience programming experience using C, Matlab, or C++ Familiarity with wireless protocols and digital signal processing The base pay for this role can vary from $160,000 to $180,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
