Location - This is a hybrid role based out of our downtown Chicago office.
About the Role The purpose of the Fundraising Outreach Specialist role is to engage with prospective and current organizers to drive successful fundraiser launches and outcomes through high‑impact conversations and personalized support.
This role supports the full fundraiser lifecycle— from initial interest to event execution—by reaching out to warm leads, connecting with current organizers, and advising on strategies for success. The Fundraising Outreach Specialist will communicate via phone, text, email, and Zoom to guide organizers toward launch, answer questions, and ensure they feel confident every step of the way. This is a flexible, hybrid role with a strong focus on relationship‑building and execution.
Responsibilities
Proactively contact warm leads to encourage event creation and walk them through the process
Reach out to organizers with upcoming or live events to provide support, coaching, and motivation
Meet virtually with prospective and current organizers to answer questions and drive successful outcomes
Deliver a clear, compelling pitch about Double Good’s platform and mission
Track communications and outcomes using internal tools (CRM, spreadsheets, email, etc.)
Share organizer feedback and patterns with the internal team to help improve processes and messaging
Contribute to evolving outreach strategies and playbooks as the team scales
Other Job Functions
Support organizer‑focused outreach projects as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience & Skills We Value
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong phone presence and ability to connect quickly with new contacts
Comfort operating independently and managing flexible work hours
Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and basic communication tools
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
1+ year in a customer‑facing or outreach role (e.g., phone‑based support, inside sales, outreach, etc.)
High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have and/or You’ll Learn
Experience in customer‑facing roles (e.g., support, sales, coaching, education, or nonprofit)
Familiarity with fundraising, especially in school or community contexts
Prior experience working in a startup or fast‑paced, evolving environment
Experience working with schools, nonprofits, or fundraising platforms
Experience working with educators, coaches, or nonprofit organizers
Experience in inside sales or support for a high‑growth company

Compensation
$55,000 - $63,000 annually
Target Annual Bonus: 10% of base salary
The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
Work Authorization Requirement This position requires current authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship, including support for F‑1 Optional Practical Training (OPT), STEM OPT extensions, or other temporary work authorization programs.
