Director, EHS & Risk Management
– CSL Seqirus, Holly Springs, NC
CSL Seqirus, a global leader in influenza vaccine production and partnership in pandemic preparedness, seeks an experienced Director of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS) & Risk Management to lead our EHS strategy and culture.
Responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop the EHS staff ensuring appropriate organizational structure, staffing, skills, technical knowledge and prioritization of work to support our goals and compliance.
Lead the site safety culture and develop an environmentally conscious culture in partnership with site leadership.
Maintain continuous compliance with all applicable EHS regulatory requirements and provide expert support to external regulatory agencies.
Develop and implement plans to ensure site conformance with the Global EHS Management System requirements (ISO 45001, VPP, ISO 14001 or equivalent).
Actively contribute to enterprise strategy, culture and governance processes as a member of the Site Leadership Team.
Manage significant EHS risks through site‑ and business‑unit risk management processes and risk registers.
Oversee the effectiveness of emergency preparedness processes.
Engage in global EHS process development and implementation.
Develop long‑term and short‑term strategies, objectives and plans to achieve EHS goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
10 years of EHS experience (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of people‑management experience.
Experience leading EHS for a GMP or biological manufacturing facility, or large pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing environment.
Experience reporting to government or regulatory authorities, including audits.
Strong knowledge of relevant local, state and federal regulations.
Proven ability to develop and deliver presentations to audiences ranging from 25 to 200 people.
