Salary: $83,239.00 - $126,941.00 Annually

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent training and experience
A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
Five years of engineering experience, with five years of experience in water and wastewater system design and/or construction preferred
One year of supervisory experience preferred
Experience with water/wastewater utilities (treatment plants, tanks, pump stations, pipelines) and construction project management
Current valid driver’s license with a good driving record (no more than six demerit points in the last 24 months or any major violations)
Out‑of‑state driving records may be submitted if required
Pre-employment Requirements

FBI criminal background check

Duties
Manage Capital Improvement Program projects from design through construction
Review plans and specifications for utilities projects
Monitor construction and provide technical assistance to Water Distribution, Wastewater Collections, Water Treatment, and Wastewater Treatment sections
Plan, design, and manage special projects for Utilities Operations and Maintenance divisions
Coordinate design efforts on capital projects with SCADA and instrumentation teams
Assist engineering supervisor with project planning and annual budget development
Draft permit applications and other regulatory submittals for water and wastewater projects
Perform additional duties as required; potential future supervision of staff as department grows
This position is part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
Shift Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
