Job Summary: Specialize in women’s health, providing comprehensive care that includes preventive services, prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care, as well as diagnostic and treating reproductive disorders. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to women, focusing on reproductive health pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum period. Perform routine gynecological examinations and screenings, including Pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast examinations. Diagnose and treat medical conditions and diseases affecting the female reproductive system, such as endometriosis, infertility, and sexually transmitted infections. Monitor fetal development during pregnancy through ultrasound and other diagnostic tests. Manage high‑risk pregnancies and provide counseling and support to patients facing pregnancy‑related complications. Perform surgical procedures as needed, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries. Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception options, and lifestyle choices that promote overall well‑being. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. Stay updated with medical research, guidelines and advancements in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Professional Requirements
Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean. Completes annual education requirements, including all state federal and CMS regulations. Maintains regulatory requirements. Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time. Wears identification while on duty, uses computerized time system correctly. Completes in‑services and returns in a timely fashion. Attends annual review and department in‑services, as scheduled. Attends staff meetings; reads and returns staff meeting minutes. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Actively participates in performance improvement and quality improvement CQI activities, attends committee and management meetings, as appropriate. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. Communicates the mission, vision, core values, ethics and goals of the hospital. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments and staff. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire safety and infection control. Regulatory Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. BE/BC: Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology Kansas state medical license DEA registration Current BLS required Current ACLS required Current PALS required Current TNCC required
