Territory Sales Manager – Midwest (Confidential)
A global specialty chemical and fluid technology company is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to manage and expand its business across the U.S. Midwest. This role will focus on driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding market share across key industries including metalworking, manufacturing, and industrial processing.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical sales experience, a consultative selling approach, and deep knowledge of industrial products such as metalworking fluids, lubricants, or specialty chemical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow sales within the assigned Midwest territory
Develop and implement strategic territory plans to achieve revenue and margin targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments
Maintain and expand relationships with existing distributor and direct customers
Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and technical consultations
Collaborate with internal teams (technical service, R&D, operations, customer service) to deliver tailored solutions
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback
Forecast sales performance and manage pipeline using CRM tools
Industries
Metalworking and machining companies
Automotive and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers
Industrial manufacturing and fabrication
Tooling, stamping, and forming operations
OEM and MRO customers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or related field (preferred)
5+ years of technical B2B sales experience in industrial fluids, lubricants, coatings, or specialty chemicals
Proven success managing a geographic territory and meeting sales goals
Strong understanding of metalworking fluids, coolants, or industrial process fluids
Preferred Experience
Experience selling into automotive and manufacturing markets
Background working with distributors or channel partners
Knowledge of fluid management systems and plant operations
