Territory Sales Manager, Commercial Trucking - (WI & IL) Join GEICO as a Territory Sales Manager responsible for growing agency relationships and increasing profit in the commercial trucking market across IL and WI.

Base Pay Range $104,550.00 – $161,950.00 per year

Responsibilities

Prospect, interview, and approve new appointments to expand GEICO’s agency distribution.

Manage agents within a designated area using in‑person, virtual, phone, and email to build relationships and deliver trainings.

Analyze territory to develop strategic plans that achieve growth and profitability goals.

Apply commercial insurance knowledge of GEICO’s products, competitive placement, industry trends, and agency technology to drive sales.

Prepare pre‑call strategies, identify growth opportunities, and document each sales interaction.

Work with product management to identify opportunities and provide competitive intelligence.

Document processes for prospecting, qualifying, onboarding, and training agencies.

Monitor agent performance, develop action plans, and support partners to grow their business.

Create and deliver annual and semi‑annual sales plans, reports, and updates to leadership.

Engage with state and industry association groups to determine growth efforts.

Develop onboarding, training, and mentorship plans for new sales teams.

Requirements

Must follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts, and prioritize tasks.

Must multi‑task and learn large amounts of technical information.

Prior experience driving sales results.

Experience with multiple insurance lines a plus (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health).

Must perform essential functions: seeing, hearing, typing, speaking.

Must speak clearly, empathetically, and professionally by phone.

Adheres to GEICO Code of Conduct, policies, and operating principles.

Compliance with GEICO driving standards.

Meets attendance standards at business location.

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Preferred

3+ years working with Independent Agents.

Bachelor’s degree or 3 years sales or relevant insurance experience.

Location & Travel

Must reside or live in Remote positions: Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI.

Territory: IL/WI.

Overnight travel: 50% of the time.

Candidates must reside near a major airport and be able to travel overnight.
