About the Role We’re seeking a skilled and strategic Account Director to lead a portfolio of clients, acting as a true partner in delivering results and driving growth. This business leader role oversees strategy, communication, and execution on each account by guiding the Client Service team to deliver on client goals. As a subject matter expert and mentor, you’ll inspire your team, strengthen client relationships, and play an active role in both upselling to existing clients and onboarding new ones. Franchise marketing expertise and agency experience are key for success in this role.

What You’ll Do Client Leadership & Strategy

Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and internal team members.

Fully understand each client’s business, goals, and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights and guidance.

Lead client discovery and intake calls, setting a clear strategy for each project.

Oversee marketing and media plan development; collaborate with Client Services team to refine objectives, scope, strategy, and budget.

Finalize and lead kick‑off meetings, ensuring strategy aligns with client goals and budget.

Approve Project Lists, Scope of Work, and Flowcharts to ensure budget alignment and project inclusion.

Project Oversight

Guide and review all team recommendations, ensuring alignment with our core values and client goals.

Provide strategic oversight and support to all departments (creative, media, account management).

Review and approve project deliverables, providing thoughtful, actionable feedback to align work with briefs and job tickets.

Manage all client contracts, financial documentation, and monitor project profitability monthly.

Communication Excellence

Review and approve creative and media briefs, ensuring alignment with client strategy and setting the team up for success.

Lead client and internal meetings, providing insights, support, and clear follow‑up steps.

Share client wins agency‑wide and document success for case studies.

Leadership & Mentorship

Mentor Account Executives and Account Coordinators, providing respectful, constructive feedback to support their professional growth.

Recognize and celebrate great work across the agency, fostering a culture of collaboration.

Manage Account Coordinators and Executives, setting clear objectives and expectations.

Operational Support

Lead new client onboarding, gathering critical insights for the team’s success.

Support Account Executives in collaborating with cross‑functional leaders for resource allocation and timelines.

Lead complex, integrated production projects, creating detailed overviews and estimate decks for clients.

Participate actively in Client Services team L10 meetings, following EOS process to gain traction and set milestones.

What You Bring to the Team

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent experience.

7+ years of client service and marketing experience in an agency setting.

Expertise in franchise marketing and strategic planning.

Proven success managing a book of business with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated success in mentoring and leading team members.

Creative problem‑solving skills with a consensus‑driven approach.

Working Environment

This position is a remote working situation with the ability to meet in person on a quarterly or as needed basis.

This position involves sitting at a computer for several hours at a time.

Proficiency in the use of keyboard / mouse and video meetings.

Ability to see and hear in virtual meetings.

Ability to maintain a regular schedule aligned with Central Time zone business hours, 9 am – 5 pm, to facilitate effective collaboration and communication with team members and clients.

Ability to work extended hours as needed.
