PeopleSoft Functional/Technical Consultant
Location: Washington, DC (HQ)
Role Level: Consultant Standard 3
Role Summary We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Functional/Technical Consultant with strong expertise in configuration, technical development, and cross‑functional business process consulting. The consultant will be responsible for requirement analysis, enhancements, customizations, and integrating PeopleSoft applications with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and map them to PeopleSoft processes and system capabilities.
Collaborate with both technical and functional teams for end‑to‑end solution delivery.
Perform PeopleSoft application configuration, setup, and module enhancements.
Develop technical components using PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, SQR, and Integration Broker.
Prepare detailed documentation including BRDs, FRDs, and technical design documents.
Support testing (SIT/UAT), issue resolution, patching, and deployment.
Provide support for integrations, upgrades, and migration activities.
Ensure technical solutions align with organizational standards and best practices.
Deliver user training and prepare process documentation when required.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of combined PeopleSoft Functional and Technical experience.
Excellent understanding of HCM/Financials/Benefits/Payroll/Supply Chain modules (as applicable).
Strong hands‑on development with:
PeopleCode
Application Engine (AE)
Component Interface (CI)
Integration Broker
SQR
BI Publisher
Strong functional skills: requirements gathering, fit‑gap analysis, process mapping.
Strong SQL experience and ability to troubleshoot data issues.
Experience with testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Preferred Skills
Experience with PUM (PeopleSoft Upgrade Manager) and upgrade lifecycle.
Familiarity with Oracle Database and PeopleSoft architecture.
Federal/government projects experience (preferred but not mandatory).
