The Manager of Contracts and Grants is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of contracts and grants, including review, compliance monitoring, and post‑award administration. The Manager will handle all types of clients and agreements and ensure that all contracts align with organizational policies, donor and funder requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities

Review all grant, contract, and other agreement documents for accuracy and appropriateness, advising on corrections or modifications prior to signature. Track cost‑share obligations and approve cost‑share documentation for allowability. Conduct risk assessments and pre‑award assessments of proposed subrecipients; advise on appropriate contracting mechanisms and subaward oversight and monitoring requirements; support program staff in performance and compliance monitoring of subrecipients; ensure proper close‑out of subawards. Lead new award kickoff meetings to review compliance requirements with program managers. Ensure ongoing compliance with foreign tax reporting, SPOT reporting, and other award requirements. Advise on award close‑out procedures and ensure proper close‑out of awards. Maintain and update the Amideast agreement tracker weekly. Coordinate new project set‑up with program and finance teams. Maintain permanent contract and grant files—electronic and hardcopy—that comply with client regulations and Amideast record‑retention policies. Support annual audits and financial reporting related to contract and grant administration. Maintain current templates for memoranda of understanding, teaming agreements, grants, contracts, subcontracts, and NDAs; advise on customized modifications of standard documents. Support negotiations and resolve disputes for contract and grant agreements. Enforce procurement policies to ensure fiscal responsibility, accountability, and transparency in line with relevant regulations and policies. Maintain compliance with all private, corporate, federal, state, and foreign government funding requirements. Lead compliance and registration processes with new funders; produce required policies and documentation. Handle annual SAM.gov registration process. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all relevant U.S. and foreign government and private sector grant/contract regulations. Ensure sanctions clearance process for all parties in compliance with U.S. sanctions laws. Develop and update policies and procedures; train staff regularly to ensure organizational compliance. Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field. 7–10 years of direct experience managing contracts and grants, preferably with a non‑profit organization. Experience negotiating and preparing international contracts and agreements with commercial, nonprofit, and government clients. Track record of successful work in an international business environment. Project management and organizational skills to set priorities, establish deadlines, and follow through. Knowledge of for‑profit, non‑profit, and U.S. and foreign government requirements, policies, and procedures related to contract and grant administration. Exceptional attention to detail. Experience negotiating and drafting contracts, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with financial and legal requirements domestically and internationally. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing information, clarifying situations, resolving problems, and preparing required correspondence and reports. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Exemplary collaboration, management, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team with all levels of staff. Preferred

Proficiency in Arabic and/or French. Familiarity with the Middle East and North Africa region. Work Environment

The incumbent works in a professional office environment and may work from the corporate office or a remote home office on a hybrid basis.
